Meet William Elong, Young Cameroonian Who Manufactures Drones In His Country

Let’s  share with you the story of  William Elong, young entrepreneur from Cameroon and founder of Will & Brothers, a start-up that produces drones in Cameroon, to revolutionize Africa with droneH.

William Elong who is the youngest graduate in Strategy and Economic Intelligence of the School of Economic War of Paris got his B.Sc at 15 years of age.
After working for big companies in France, he founded the start-up Will & Brothers, specialized in consulting in economic intelligence and technological innovation, and returned to Cameroon.


William is currently developing DroneAfrica, an initiative to offer services associated with drones in tourism, agriculture, meteorology, defense and cartography.
In 2016, William Elong was ranked 7th in the top 30 of Africa’s most promising young entrepreneurs of the year.
The DroneAfrica application, which offers “the first civilian drone service” in Cameroon, is one of William’s flagship projects. It is based on a drone equipped with a miniaturized camera that can be remotely controlled and capture new images.


His start-up managed to raise financing of $ 200,000, or about CFA 124 million for the production of drones “made in Cameroon”. To achieve this concept, the start-up reinforced its workforce, from 4 to 22 people, of several nationalities, spread over two continents.
The young engineer says his dream with his innovation, is to present Africa as a place where IT and new tech can flourish.
