Meet Adepeju Jaiyeoba, Nigerian Who Won €50,000 Prince of Wales Young Sustainability Entrepreneur Award

Nigerians don’t seem to take a chill. We are always at the fore front of African achievements. This article proves our statement correct. A Nigerian Lady identified as Adepeju Jaiyeoba has been awarded the 2018 Prince of Wales Young Sustainability Entrepreneur award.

This brilliant mind is the brain behind a social enterprise aimed at supplying birthing kits to health centres. This brilliant enterprise was what fetched her the ward at a ceremony in London on Tuesday. Her vision an mission has made her stand before kings part of these prominent persons is Obama.

As the winner of the HRH Prince of Wales Young Sustainability Entrepreneur Prize, Adepeju will receive a sum that runs to the tune of  €50,000 cash award while the remaining seven runner-ups will each receive a €8,500 cash award, as reported on the website of  University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.

As if that is not enough, Adepeju with the remaining runner up will enjoy a tailored one-to-one mentoring sessions that will run for a period of 12 months. This training will be provided by experts from Unilever and University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.

 

Adepeju Jaiyeoba was chosen from eight winning entrepreneurs as the recipient of this year’s HRH The Prince of Wales Young Sustainability Entrepreneur Prize.

According to Clarence UK’s Prince Charles official Twitter handle, @clarencehouse, over 2000 persons sent in applications to the Unilever Young Entrepreneurs Awards, supported by the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership
